Marie's Coast-to-Coast Journey

What makes Focus Health special among physiotherapy practices is our very special team. Among them, Marie O'Connell holds a super-special spot.

Less than 6 months after the birth of her second child, Marie, who had already resumed work as a physiotherapist, started training for one of the most challenging race in New Zealand and the world: the Coast-to-Coast challenge. As if managing a house, taking care of two under5's and looking after her patients at the clinic wasn't enough, Marie has now slotted in a 6-day high-intensity training regime.

How does she manage it? "With military precision" she answers. And a great deal of inner strength, obviously.

As a physiotherapist, and an excellent one at that, Marie has a particular approach to her training. She has kindly agreed to share her tips and experience with Focus Health and its followers. We'll be posting her updates, training advice, pictures and videos on this page as well as our social media channels .
