Razwana Leonard
Mindset is Key

Masters of Physiotherapy 2015
Glasgow Caledonian University
Razwana Leonard is a senior physiotherapist with a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (Distinction) from Glasgow Caledonian University.
After graduating, Razwana worked in private practices in Falkirk and Glasgow in Scotland. She developed her practice in the areas of musculoskeletal injuries, occupational health, running rehabilitation as well as Pilates and yoga based treatment.
Razwana has over ten years’ experience supporting a wide range of clients. She enjoys helping people recover from sports injuries, workplace pain, and everyday movement limitations. Her friendly, patient-centred approach blends evidence-based physiotherapy with practical movement training and supportive coaching, enabling people to return to the activities that matter most to them.
With her background in massage therapy, fitness instruction, Pilates, yoga, and life coaching, she brings a multi-dimensional understanding of movement and mindset to her physiotherapy practice. For her, mindset is the most important contributing factor to successful recovery or rehabilitation. She finds Focus Health patients are always highly motivated, and take ownership of their exercise programme.
Razwana first visited New Zealand in the early 2000s, while working on cruise ships. She has now worked in Hawke’s Bay for five years, joining our Napier clinic earlier in 2025. Razwana works two full days on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Onekawa clinic, starting both days by leading a hydrotherapy class at the Onekawa pool.
Outside the clinic, Razwana enjoys hill walking, CrossFit, yoga, sewing and learning Sanskrit.
